Dealing with Fatigue?

Feeling that Monday morning dread every morning? Lacking in energy and feeling unmotivated? Many students experience that during this time of year. A recent study reported in Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics Journal looked at the effects of regular exercise on this kind of fatigue. Young adults
who complained of fatigue were divided into groups of no exercise, low intensity aerobic exercise, and moderate intensity aerobic exercise. Both groups who exercised reported more energy at the end of the study, with those who participated in the low intensity exercise reporting the biggest gains in energy.

So if you're dealing with fatigue, that sofa or bed is not going to make you feel better! Take a walk, or a bike ride instead!

Every student has a problem with fatigue. If we would take better care of our health and exercise more often then we would not have the same problems with fatigue that we do now. Just lying down and taking a nap isn't gonna help as much as exercising.

I love bike riding and walking out side in the fresh, clean air.

I feel much better when I exercise than when I don't. Exercise lets you be more happy.

i think if students will excercise or go for a walk before school then they will have more energy then they realize.Exercising is very good!!!!!!!!!!

I don't exercise as much as I use to but I do try to at least walk 2.5 or 3 miles about three times a week, as I help to Middle School softball so I am more active than some. I can tell on the days that I get out and do something like walk or ride my bike I feel so much better, than if I just sit around all day.

We have a walking minister in the Church. We walk twice a week as a group. It will give you a lot of energy, it will strengthen you, and it is very relaxing.

The way I deal with stress is by going to sleep then waking up, and going back to sleep until im not stressed anymore.

This is very interesting study, knowing that excercise provide people with a good feeling of postive energy. Maybe i should do a couple of excerises before i come to school, so i can have a good energetic and less fatigue feeling.

That is true I found since I have this P.E class I not only have more energy. I also sleep better at night.

i couldn't agree more with this article. every afternoon i have softball practice, and then i ride my horse. getting out and exercising in the fresh air is so invigorating to me! also, something else that helps me stay awake during exhausting study hours, is to take a break and go running.

All of us experience fatigue at some point. Regular exercise make us physically and mentally fit and that helps fight off fatigue, along with the proper diet too.

I have just started doing 30mins of cardio a day. I know feel like I have more energy and I'm not as ill acting either. Now I would like to do other things so I might join a gym.

Exercise is the best way to fight fatigue. I like taking long walks on the beach. It beats nap anyday!!

I agree exercise is the best way to beat fatigue, but I don't have to time to fit it in anymore. But when I was xercising I was more stress free and had more energy.

Since I work outside all the time with my job and I'm always working and doing something to keep me in shape I rarely ever feel that fatique. I think everyone should get outside and enjoy what we have. If people didn't spend so much time sitting around doing nothing, people would be less tired and there wouldn't be a weight problem in the U.S.

I get up in the morning and go to school, get done with school and go to work, get home from work and do homework and this leaves me just enough time to go to bed. Tired, exhausted and satified. I get a lot of exercise at work being that I am an electrician, but I do need to look into something to help give me a boost during the day. This article was very interesting reading for me.

I don't have too much of a problem with fatigue. I exersise regularly, and I guess that has affected me in a positive way.

Exercise is a wonderful thing! Although many of us don't get to do it as often as we should because of our daily schedules. Fatigue is often a lot less when we do exercise!-Jade Godley

I can definitely relate to this article. I am always tired and take a nap every Sunday. I have recently joined a gym and realize this is a better way to deal with fatigue. I sleep better at night and have more energy during the day.

Exercise helps me wake up. Being at school all day stresses me out, but then going to softball practice relieves some of the stress and gives me more energy.

I completly agree with this article. I feel much better health wise and about myself when I work out rather it be running, walking, or any other form of exercise than if I just sit around the house.
