That was so neat. I have a a german shepard/ lab mix, and she means the world to me. When I was young me and my mom were at my grandmas and she had a black lab. My mama was fussing at me and was getting ready to reach for me when the dog snapped and growled at my mama. The dog was very protective over me just as the lab I have now is. She can sense things such as bad weather, and knows when something is wrong with me.

You would be amazed at what lengths dogs will go through to save and protect the ones they love. I have a teacup poodle that not only is my shadow, but he is very good about letting me know when strangers come up to the house or are walking through the yard. I love it. I can trust him to warn me in all kinds of danger.

People say that dogs are a man best friend. Dogs are a smart animal. I had a dog that would protect me. Someone took my dog out of the fence while I wasn't home. It hurted me so badly. I don't want to get close to another dog.

That was so great. I think that was awesome. I have two dogs now. I have a pom-poo and full blood pomerian however you spell it. I think they are soo cute. If i'm ever in danger I think my dogs would do all they can to help me. Like one day I was out at the park in Greenville and this big dog was charging towards me my little pom-poo stood her ground and started growling lol I thought that was funny . Esther Wilson

Dogs are truly one of mankind's most helpful animals. They are very intelligent and can be trained in many ways in helping people. Everyday, they help aid the blind to find their way, they help aid law officials in locating people, and items, both in good or bad situations.

They are also loyal companions and help bring up the spirits of many individuals. It is proven that individuals with depression and people that are lonely benefit from having dogs as a friend and companion.

This could be a young child with a debilitating disease or an elderly person in a nursing home setting.

Whatever the situation, it is a proven fact that they have a positive effect.

You have always heard that dogs are man's best friend. This goes to show how that is really true. Just watching dogs save a man from a fire, a baby girl from choking, and a man from drowning is amazing. Also i thought it was interesting how one of the dogs went back in to save a cat.

Wow. This is crazy. I hope that if something happens to me I hope that my dog would do something to save my life. The man was right, I wont look at a dog the same again.

I loved this! I love all animals and especially dogs! It is amazing how they save our lives. They appear to understand things that we say to them and they sometimes behave as humans. It was amazing how the dog rescued the man from the fire and then went back into the house to get the cat. Dogs are amazing animals and I think everyone should have one. -April Woolard (WHS)
